Description
A North American native fir growing to a height of 50 to 75 feet. Needles are soft, bluish-green color with a silver flash on the underside. Plant in sandy, loamy, or heavy clay soil. Prefers well-drained, acidic, moist soil. Proven to be more heat-tolerant than other species of Balsam. Grows in sun or partial shade. Valued as a Christmas tree due to its excellent fragrance and good needle retention. (8-16 in)
