Pennsylvania farmers are required to use Best Management Practices (BMPs) to prevent erosion and sediment from entering local waterways. Agricultural activities that disturb 5,000 square feet or more require a written Agricultural Erosion & Sediment (Ag E&S) Plan. The Conservation District can provide guidance and resources to help farmers develop and implement their plans and protect soil and water resources.
