The Fulton County Conservation District works with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to help prevent erosion, reduce sediment pollution, and protect local waterways. Through the Erosion & Sediment (E&S) Control and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs, the District provides oversight and assistance for activities that disturb the land, including farming, timber harvesting, road maintenance, and construction. These programs help protect water quality and ensure that local streams and waterways remain healthy for our communities and future generations.
